Verse 1:
Hello friend, I miss you.
I played the lottery
On the midnight train,
Going from gaze to gaze
Hoping to meet yours somehow.
Chorus:
But you’re not there.
So many faces all around,
But you’re nowhere,
Nowhere to be found.
They ask me questions,
I tell them lies.
What can I say?
There’s nothing left to say,
Except I miss you, again.
Verse 2:
Uninvited thoughts of you
Creep into my head,
But I let them in.
And for a brief second,
I thought I saw some colour.
Bridge:
When the day fades
From grey to black,
I’m at the mercy of my thoughts.
When the crocodile laughter
Ceases to distract,
In that space before nightmares,
I dream of you,
I think of you,
I wish for you.

sometimes i hope there is only one train.. so everyone will be on the train.. then people wont be trying to figure out which train they should board.
